SUMMARY:Screech's Night Owl 5K & 1 Mile Fun Walk
DESCRIPTION:Ready\, Set\, GLOW!  Join us on October 17th\, 2025 for Screech’s Night Owl 5K & 1 Mile Fun Walk at Harford Community College!  This fun event takes place at 7:00 PM in the evening to allow our runners the opportunity to wear glow items\, glow in the dark clothing\, etc.  All proceeds from the event support Athletic Scholarships for Student Athletes at Harford Community College. \nAt Harford Community College\, our student athletes are at the top of their game\, on and off the court and field. By participating in one of Harford’s thirteen NJCAA sports\, they make a commitment to excel not only in their sport\, but in the classroom. Proceeds will benefit nonprofit organizations supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness and seeking treatment for addiction. Awards include cash prizes for the top male and female runners and medals for the top three runners in each class. SUMMARY:Valkyrie 5K Run/Walk and 1M Warriors' Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join us Sun\, July 30 at 8:30 at Harford Community College to help us outpace pediatric brain cancer. We have partnered with Charm City Run and Harford Community College to benefit the Children’s Brain Tumor Network (CBTN)\, where 100% of donations go directly to research. All proceeds from this race will be donated directly to CBTN. \nThis race is being held in honor of Mackenzie Opdyke of Bel Air\, MD. \nIn July of 2022\, young Mackenzie was diagnosed with a type of brain cancer called a midline glioma. This form of brain cancer\, while rare\, can be particularly aggressive. \nThe Bel Air community\, extended family\, and friends have been exceptionally generous to Mackenzie’s family\, and now they want to give back by raising money for pediatric brain cancer research\, specifically glioma research\, which receives little funding compared to more common cancers. Help ensure ongoing research can help one less family go through what the Opdyke family are experiencing right now. \n
